THE AUTHOR

Joseph F. O’Callaghan, Professor Emeritus of Medieval History at Fordham University, is the author of numerous studies on the history of medieval Spain. As a student of church history, he authored Electing Our Bishops: How the Catholic Church Should Choose Its Leaders. He is the younger brother of Father Denis O’Callaghan.
